Morris Claiborne's time with the Dallas Cowboys has come to an end.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the are expected to sign the free-agent cornerback to a new deal. Claiborne has been a member of the Cowboys for his entire five-year career after being drafted sixth overall by the team in 2012.
The 27-year old was en route to a career year in 2016 before suffering a groin injury in Week 8. Claiborne registered 26 tackles, five pass deflections, and one interception in seven games last season.
The Jets were looking to offset the loss of Darelle Revis in their secondary, and Claiborne will likely be asked to start at cornerback for the Jets opposite.
