The Dallas Cowboys and two-time All-Pro center Travis Frederick have agreed to terms on a contract extension that will make him the league's highest-paid center, reports Rand Getlin of NFL Network.

Frederick will sign a six-year deal worth $56.4 million, with $28.2 million in total guarantees, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Atlanta Falcons veteran Alex Mack held the distinction of being the highest-paid center prior to Frederick's massive extension, with the Falcons inking him during free agency to a contract averaging $9 million a year. Frederick's deal will average $9.4 million per season rightfully making him the highest paid player at his position.

Since being selected 31st overall in the 2013 NFL Draft, Frederick has firmly established himself among the league's best centers and as a key component of the Cowboys' dominant offensive line.
