Dak Prescott has the Dallas Cowboys off to a 7-1 start, but Tony Romo's return may be on the horizon.
Cowboys' owner/GM Jerry Jones refused to speculate on the veteran quarterback's status for the next game following the team's 35-10 win over the Cleveland Browns.
On Monday, head coach Jason Garrett officially declared that Romo has been medically cleared to return to practice. His status remains murky ahead of the team's Week 10 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Romo is now fully healed from the compression fracture to his L1 veterbra he suffered on Aug. 25. The team has stated that they plan to activate Romo in the "near future".
His progress will be monitored closely during practice this week.
