The Eagles continue to make a big splash in free agency as they have acquired an important difference maker at the safety position.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Eagles and safety Rodney McLeod have agreed to a deal that will pay the former Los Angeles Rams defender $37 million over five years.

FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reports that the deal includes $17 million dollars in guarantees.

McLeod proved himself to be a valuable asset with the Rams in 2015. Pro Football Focus as the 10th best safety in the NFL last season. McLeod made 82 tackles in 2015 and added one interception and three forced fumbles.
