It turns out that Steelers' fans will have to wait a little longer to see their team in action this Sunday.
According to a press release from the NFL's Vice President of Communications Brian McCarthy, the Kansas City Chiefs-Pittsburgh Steelers playoff game has been pushed back from a 1:05 p.m. EST to 8:20 p.m. EST due to weather.
McCarthy had stated in an e-mail earlier in the day that the game would go on as scheduled. Since then however, with up to 3/4 of an inch of ice expected, the decision was made to push the game back to allow for crews to ensure safe travel and stadium conditions.
The Chiefs organization has already promised that crews would be working to pre-treat parking lots and roads leading to the stadium, and that the seating areas would be protected to prevent hazardous conditions in the stands. Crews will also work during and after the storm.
Its looking like a late game for us Steelers' fans.
