It appears the NFL has decided on Vontaze Burfict's actions against the Pittsburgh Steelers and other team's in his recent play.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cincinnati Bengals linebacker will be suspended for the first thee games of the 2016 season as a result of repeated violations of player safety rules. In addition, Burfict was fined $50,000 for an illegal hit he put on Ravens tight end Maxx Williams in Week 17.
NFL Vice President of Football Operations Merton Hanks has imposed the suspension and the NFL is looking into potential discipline for others involved in the Steelers-Bengals fiasco on Saturday night. Burfict will have three days to appeal.
His repeated actions have resulted in suspension, but was it long enough?
