This is not the news that Patriots fans were hoping to hear.
The New England Patriots have announced that star tight end Rob Gronkowski has been officially downgraded to out after not accompanying the team to Arizona. Also out, because they didn’t travel, are tackle Nate Solder and guard Jonathan Cooper.
Gronkowski has been battling a hamstring issue since suffering the injury during joint practices with the Chicago Bears on Aug.15. Gronk described himself as "week-to-week" with the ailment.
Expect to see newly acquired tight end Martellus Bennett see increased snaps in Gronkowski's absence.
