If Patriots' fans were hoping to see their favorite players at this year's Pro Bowl, they are out of luck.
All seven Patriots players selected to the NFL's all-star roster have backed out of Sunday's game in Hawaii.
Quarterback Tom Brady, tight end Rob Gronkowski, linebacker Jamie Collins, defensive end Chandler Jones, cornerback Malcolm Butler, special teamer Matthew Slater and kicker Stephen Gostkowski have all been officially replaced.
Brady (ankle), Gronkowski (knee, back), Collins (back), Slater (shin) and Jones (toe, abdomen) all have injuries, but Slater said he wants to spend time with his newborn child and Jones is dealing with legal issues following a Jan. 10 incident in Foxborough.
It just goes to show the toll that the NFL season can take on a team.
