The Steelers have an update on Maurkice Pouncey.
The pittsburgh Steelers' center left last Sunday’s 21-14 loss to the Ravens after dislocating his right thumb. Head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that Pouncey has already undergone surgery on the digit and is not ruling him out for this week's clash with the Dallas Cowboys.
According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Tomlin did say that Pouncey will not practice on Wednesday and that the team will take it day-to-day with him.
The injury is reportedly to Pouncey's snapping hand, but Tomlin believes he will still be able to snap the ball to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. It appears that his status will be determined by his ability to tolerate the pain.
Lineman B.J. Finney filled in for Pouncey after the injury and will likely continue to do so if he can not take the field.
