The Steelers have made a decision regarding two of their players.
According to Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pittsburgh Steelers have placed cornerback Senquez Golson and offensive tackle Ryan Harris on injured reserve on Saturday. The team has also signed cornerback Al-Hajj Shabazz and offensive lineman Matt Feiler to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.
Harris injured his leg in last week’s game vs. the Chiefs while subbing for starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert. With Harris and Gilbert out, the team will look to Chris Hubbard to start at right tackle on Sunday. Center Maurkice Pouncey also took a few reps at right tackle this week at practice.
Golson has been out with an injured foot since August.
The Steelers now have Golson and Bud Dupree on injured reserve and can only bring one of them back this season. This means that either Golson or Dupree's season is over. Dupree, a starting outside linebacker, said last week he was not close to resuming football-related training. Golson, who was expected to be the slot corner in the nickel defense, is expected to be ready by the middle or end of next month.
