It was shock earlier this week when it was announced that Tom Brady would be playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next season, however, a deal has yet to be signed by the superstar.
Negotiations continued into Thursday, with the sides “still trying to finalize contract language as of Wednesday night,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
“Contract language [is] more challenging this off-season than any time in recent memory,” Schefter tweeted. “No problems forseen [sic] with Bucs-Brady, but no deal yet.”
As we face unprecedented times with the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, NFL facilities are closed through at least March 31 which explains why on Thursday morning ESPN’s Jeff Darlington reported that Brady will undergo a physical today… in New York.
The three-time NFL MVP is expected to sign a deal worth roughly $30 million per season and no issues is expected to come up with this physical.
The 42-year-old played the first 20 seasons of his NFL career with New England, winning a record six Super Bowl titles and could write history again if he wins a Super Bowl with the Buccs in Tampa Bay in 2021.
