Tony Romo mad a big step in recovering today.
According to Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Dallas Cowboys' quarterback returned to practice on Wednesday. Romo threw in individual drills, the first time he has thrown at practice since suffering a compression fracture in his back during the preseason.
“We’ll just take it day by day,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said of Romo before practice. “He’s had some good days of rehab though lately.”
Rookie Dak Prescott is still slated as the team's starter against the Philadelphia Eagles, as the team has absolutely no reason to rush Romo back. The Cowboys are 5-1 under Prescott and he hasn't given management any reason to replace him as of yet.
