President Donald Trump couldn't resist taking yet another shot at the NFL the morning after "America's Team," the Dallas Cowboys, knelt in unity during the national anthem.
Per the Associated Press, Trump said ''ratings for NFL football are way down except before game starts when people tune in to see whether or not our country will be disrespected.''
He also says that booing at the Dallas game Monday night when the team dropped to its knees was the ''loudest I have ever heard.''
Trump noted in this tweets that the team stood for the anthem: ''Big progress being made- we all love our country.''
Every NFL team that played Sunday participated in some form of demonstration during the national anthem. The protests were sparked by Trump calling for NFL owners to fire players who decline to stand for the anthem in a rally in Alabama on Friday.
Some NFL players, coaches and executives Sunday stood arm-in-arm along the sideline. Some sat, knelt or raised a fist. The Pittsburgh Steelers didn't even come on the field during the anthem.
