Two Cowboys players will make their highly anticipated debut against the Indianapolis Colts.
Dallas Cowboys insider Mike Fisher has reported that Jaylon Smith, the most talked about defender on the team, as well as wide receiver Ryan Switzer, will finally get a chance to put the pads on in a real game.
Back in December 2015, Smith was considered to be one of the best players in the country and was going to be selected early in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft. However, he suffered a severe injury during the first quarter of the Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State, and was diagnosed with tears in both his ACL and LCL. He is now more than ready to make an impact.
Switzer was day-to-day with a hamstring injury and missed a few practices over the past week, as well as the Hall of Fame game against the Arizona Cardinals. The 5'8", 181-pound wide receiver was selected in the fourth round (133rd overall) of the 2017 NFL draft, and played his college football at the University of North Carolina. He caught 96 passes for 1112 yards and six touchdowns last season.
