The Dallas Cowboys were very dejected on Sunday, no one more so than Tony Romo
The Green Bay Packers are off to the NFC Championship Game after emerging with a 34-31 win over the the Dallas Cowboys in a divisional-round thriller on Sunday night. With the loss the team's amazing season came to an end, and possibly Romo's tenure as a Cowboys' quarterback as well.
A year that began with Romo healthy and slated as the starter ended with injury and a lost starting position to rookie Dak Prescott. Prescott played far beyond expectations, earning a Pro Bowl honor in his very first season.
The Cowboys are now faced with a $24.7 million salary cap decision with Romo, and it will be difficult to justify paying him that amount of money as a backup.
This could very well be the final moments of Romo's historic career with the Cowboys.
