As if Von Miller needed more motivation to become a Super Bowl champion, he is all about his team as well.
The Broncos' outside linebacker said on Monday that there are three particular guys he is playing for this Sunday at Super Bowl 50.
“I want to do it for DeMarcus and Peyton and Coach Phillips,” Miller said at Super Bowl Opening Night.
Demarcus Ware is an 11-year veteran and this is his first Super Bowl, offensive coordinator Wade Phillips has been in the NFL for 40 years and has yet to get himself a ring, and quarterback Peyton Manning could top off his legendary career with his second Super Bowl win and finish his career on top.
Miller also said that there is a sense of camaraderie in the locker room, and everyone want to get the job done for the team as a whole.
“It’s like a college atmosphere in our locker room,” Miller said. “We spend a lot of time together and I think that’s the glue that makes things go.”
