The Minnesota Vikings have been dealt a devastating blow today, as they may be without their franchise quarterback for yet another NFL season.

According to Bleacher Report's Jason Cole, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is unlikely to see the field in 2017.

Bridgewater suffered a devastating knee injury prior to the start of the 2016 season, and underwent reconstructive surgery to repair a torn ACL and other ligaments following the freak incident in training camp.

According to Cole, doctors have informed Bridgewater that the recovery time for his injury is at minimum 19 months, which would put him out of action until Spring of 2018.

The team has yet to place a timetable on Bridgewater's return, but head coach Mike Zimmer has stated that the team's main concern is that he makes a full recovery.

This would mean that Sam Bradford would remain the Vikings' quarterback in 2017.
