Many people believe that the original Lambeau leaper was former Packers receiver Robert Brooks, and he is in fact the man credited for popularizing the touchdown celebration. In fact the name may have come from an Al Michaels call during one of Brooks' touchdowns. However many forget that the true originator was actually safety Leroy Butler who recovered a fumble, created by the "Minister of Defense" Reggie White, and returned it for a touchdown and of course celebrated the score by jumping into the stands and into the waiting arms of the Green Bay faithful. So to give Leroy Butler full credit, and to remind Packers fans of the origin of possibly the greatest touchdown celebration of all time, we bring you the video of the original Lambeau Leap.
