Aaron Rodgers: Psychedelic drug usage helped my career!
That's just groovy!

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has certainly been no stranger to headlines that have nothing to do with the gridiron in recent memory. Of course, everyone remembers his inoculation fiasco, in which it was revealed that he'd mislead his team regarding his vaccination status against COVID-19.
Additionally, his personal life has been no secret, as earlier this year he ended his engagement to actress Shailene Woodley; the pair had originally confirmed their romance and marriage plans over a year ago.
And now, Rodgers has revealed a secret weapon in his personal arsenal that's helped him continue playing at a high level in the form of a plant-based psychedelic called ayahuasca. According to the Milwaukee Detox Center, ayahuasca as a tea can make one experience “a dream-like state and hallucinations, making you feel your emotions very intensely”. Additionally, it promotes “a conscious state of mindfulness that lets you examine your thoughts and emotions from the outside".
“We talked so much about … mental health, and to me, one of the core tenets of your mental health is self-love, and that’s what ayahuasca did for me. [It helped] me see how to unconditionally love and it’s only in that unconditional self-love that then I’m able to truly be able to unconditionally love others,” Rodgers explained. “I mean it’s important that I play well and show up and lead and all that stuff but they won’t care about what you say until they know how much you care.”
