There are few more hands-on owners in the National Football League than Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones, who is never going to shy away from doing whatever it takes to try and get back to the elusive Super Bowl that his team hasn't been able to experience since the mid-1990s.

The Cowboys got a taste of postseason success this past season with their victory over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but their season would soon come to a close with a second straight playoff loss at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers.

Jones has openly spoken about how badly it feels inside for him knowing that as he's getting older, the chances of his seeing his team once again achieve ultimate glory diminish with each passing year. So what are the odds that he opens up the checkbook in a big way prior to the start of the 2023 schedule?

During a recent interview, Jones had this to say when it comes to the prospect of adding additional talent to the roster:

"I would tell you,'' regarding spending and budget and the cap, "that 99 percent of my thinking is for this year.''

"There’s an active free-agent market," Jones continued. "Some pretty talented people out there. We want to keep a close eye on that. I never shut the door."

That kind of comment will come as music to the ears of Cowboys fans everywhere, who always want to see their team in the best possible position to win!

Your move, Jerry!
