Analyst insults Steelers WR George Pickens
Harsh review of the top Steelers wideout.
With the 2024 NFL season right around the corner, preparations continue by each team as we get closer and closer to the start of training camp later in the month. For the Pittsburgh Steelers, they'll be boasting a completely new look at the quarterback position that many see as a massive risk that could backfire.
However, neither Russell Wilson or Justin Fields were listed as the team's most overrated player in a recent article. In fact, Anthony DiBona of Pro Football Network believes the team is still waiting a "breakout season" from Pickens, who is heading into his 3rd NFL campaign.
"Surprise! Another wide receiver from the 2022 NFL Draft has landed on this list," DiBona writes. "It feels like we’ve been waiting an eternity for George Pickens to have a breakout season for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Yet, he’s only heading into his third NFL season. Following Russell Wilson’s arrival in Pittsburgh, Pickens will be playing with easily the most talented quarterback he’s had throwing to him at the next level. Now, we’ll wait and see if Pickens can finally put it all together on the field and live up to the hype."
Last season, Pickens racked up 1,140 yards on 63 receptions with five touchdowns. What kind of season are you anticipating from him in 2024?
