First, Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn officially departed the franchise, taking the head coaching job with the rival Washington Commanders. And now, another member of the Cowboys staff is joining him in the northeast.
Multiple reports indicate that Cowboys assistant Sharrif Floyd is joining the Commanders their assistant DL coach. The news was first reported by NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, who wrote the following:
"The #Commanders are hiring #Cowboys assistant Sharrif Floyd as their assistant DL coach, as the former standout #Vikings DT continues to work his way up. Floyd was with Dan Quinn in Dallas."
In 2023, he served on the Dallas staff as assistant defensive line coach and defensive quality control coach.
