There's been a heartbreaking announcement from Dallas Cowboys icon Michael Irvin. Unfortunately, his wife Sandy has been battling early-onset Alzheimer's for multiple years now.
The couple has been married for the last 34 years.
However, he's announced that he has no intention of having her placed in a special care home.
“If anyone has earned the right to stay in her house, MY WIFE HAS!!!” Irvin explained via text. “That I shall honor. No matter what it takes.”
Irvin spent his entire NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys after being drafted out of Miami, and would help the team to three Super Bowl victories. The five-time Pro Bowler also been placed into the elusive Cowboys Ring of Honor.
