Big Ben didn't hold back!

Not every draft pick that NFL teams make work out, and there are plenty of examples all throughout history to prove that point. And according to former Pittsburgh Steelers great quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, his old team is guilty of just that when they made the call to draft center Kendrick Green ahead of his final NFL season which took place in 2021.
Green, who never played center during his collegiate days at Illinois, was immediately inserted into the lineup and tasked with replacing All-Pro Maurkice Pouncey as a rookie in 2021.
“They drafted that guy to be my center,” Roethlisberger said. “Last year, he didn’t even dress. And now they have him playing a little bit of fullback. … Kevin Colbert and them drafted him to be my center my final year.”
Big Ben also was sure to make it clear that he wasn't knocking Green personally, but rather the difficult circumstances that he came into the League with, and also said that he's a good teammate.
“This is not a knock on him,” Roethlisberger said. “I love Kendrick Green. He was a great guy. Good teammate.”
“Good for him to find a way to get on the field,” Roethlisberger continued. “I hope he gets the ball at the goal line.”
Is Roethlisberger right for calling out the Steelers for missing the chance to get him a bonafide center in what was his last chance at winning a championship in the 2021 NFL season?
