Among the themes of this year's underwhelming season for the Pittsburgh Steelers has been the maligned offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Pittsburgh's offense has struggled all year, and with each passing week, the calls for Canada's job seem to grow louder and louder from fans and pundits alike.
And now, you can go ahead and add the Cincinnati Bengals to the list. In fact, they said that they knew what plays that the Steelers offense would be running.
"Just settling down,” Pratt told CBS Sports. “It was us giving them plays. We knew what they were going to do. They like to do the same plays over and over."
However, quarterback Kenny Pickett downplayed that assessment, saying that he doesn't believe that the play calls are predictable to the opponent.
"It's something you need to look at the tape and see what our tendencies are," Pickett said when asked about whether or not the Steelers offense has become predictable. "We've got to go out there and execute whatever is called."
Regardless, that certainly won't sit well with the team of hearing the news their opponents allegedly knew what they'd be trying to run on the offensive side of the ball. Just how safe is Canada's job with the offseason approaching?
