Bill Cowher absolutely rips the Pittsburgh Steelers
The former Super Bowl winning coach let his old team have it!

Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher will forever be part of franchise lore, but that doesn't mean that he's going to hesitate in calling out his former franchise for what he views as mismanagement of arguably their most valuable current asset.
He absolutely ripped the Steelers for how they're handling young quarterback Kenny Pickett, and he unleashed on them following yesterday's latest loss in which they scored a mere 13 points.
“You’re transitioning to a new quarterback. And right now, I get worried about his confidence," Cowher said. "I’ve seen this with other quarterbacks before. Take the ball out of his hands. Don’t ask him to do as much as you’re asking him to do. I know we have these receivers and everything else, it’s not about the receivers."
“It’s about a philosophy on offense that says, “What’s the best part of your team?” It’s going to be your defensive side, but that gets worn down over a period of time. There’s no margin of error there."
“You have to somehow shorten the game, with this quarterback, and it goes back to running the ball. I’d put him back under center, don’t subject him to being back there and being sacked six times today.”
Offensive coordinator Matt Canada has certainly been feeling the heat from the fans, as well as head coach Mike Tomlin. Are they also destroying Pickett's confidence? Cowher seems to think so.
“You’re 2-6, understand it’s a period of transition, what’s in the best interest to develop this quarterback," he said. "Your quarterback of the future. Without destroying his confidence.”
