It was no longer a secret, the Los Angeles Rams were looking to trade star RB Cam Akers for the past few days.

Several teams have been part of the rumors in recent days, but the Los Angeles organization has finally found common ground with a team.

According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, Akers was traded to the Minnesota Vikings.

Here is the full trade:
-The Vikings send a conditional 2026 sixth-round pick to the Rams in exchange for Akers and a conditional 2026 seventh-round pick.

Earlier this season, Akers had expressed on his social media that he was ''confused'' not to play, but that he still felt "blessed". For his part, Rams coach Sean McVay said it was surprising that his RB was "confused" since it was clear that he would not play. Last season, the same type of situation happened and Akers asked to be traded after not playing for 1 month.

The star running back will therefore join Alexander Mattison who is currently the trusted man of the offensive line led by Kirk Cousins.

Let's see if the veteran will bring a breath of fresh air to the Minnesota organization which has an 0-2 record so far.

The Vikings will face the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday who also have no victory after two weeks in this young 2023-2024 season.
