It wasn't long ago that Pittsburgh Steelers great Ben Roethlisberger essentially stated that the way of the franchise as one of the iconic teams in the NFL could be through.

"Maybe the tradition of the Steelers is done," he said. "This isn’t what has been handed down from those teams of the ‘70s. The Steel Curtain, the four Super Bowls, the Nolls, the Bradshaws, the Blounts. All those people, it’s unbelievable."

But 6-time Pro Bowl winner Cam Heyward, a former teammate of Roethlisberger's, did not agree with his take.

"Ben has an opinion. He’s entitled to that, but I don’t agree," Heyward said while making an appearance on 'Good Morning Football'. "We lost these last two games, been rough, but the Steelers way is about grinding it out, and it doesn’t matter what’s going on. There’s plenty to be done about it, and tradition starts by winning games, having good defense and scoring points."

The Steelers have already made a major change in their coaching staff, firing maligned offensive coordinator Matt Canada after yet another lackluster start to the year in which they struggled to score points. They also recently dropped their recent matchup against the struggling New England Patriots, heavily calling into question on whether or not they'll be able to return to the NFL playoffs.

Do you believe in Roethlisberger's prediction that the iconic way of the Steelers may in fact be over, or can the team still turn their season around in order to make a playoff run?
