CeeDee Lamb intentionally holding out on Cowboys?

A clever maneuver on the wide receiver's part?

As the Dallas Cowboys have gathered for offseason team activities, there are more than a few notable absences, and among them is wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. Despite the Cowboys having picked up the 5th year option on his contract, it's clear that he wants to be compensated more generously.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, this could be an intentional maneuver on Lamb's part.

“CeeDee Lamb, a couple of things in play here,” Fowler said. “He could be waiting on [Cowboys quarterback Dak] Prescott — Dallas might need to prioritize a quarterback first. And also, CeeDee Lamb appears to be waiting on Justin Jefferson.”

Lamb is set to enter the 5th year of his rookie contract that will see him earn a fully guaranteed $17.991 million. The 1,749 yards that Lamb amassed last season have already broken the franchise record of 1,603 set by team legend Michael Irvin.

The Cowboys would be wise to act quickly with Lamb before his price tag increases even more.
