The Dallas Cowboys now have additional cap space thanks to a big move they made earlier today.
According to reports, the team has restructured the contracts not only of quarterback Dak Prescott but also of guard Zack Martin.
Prescott, who was going to count $49.13 million against the Cowboys salary cap for 2023, will now only count a total of $27 million against the cap. He's in the midst of his four-year, $160 million contract. Meanwhile, the restructuring of Martin's contract will save the Cowboys around $8.8 million against the cap.
Thanks to the moves, the Cowboys have freed up approximately $30 million in cap space after having initially been $18 million over the salary cap for 2023.
