The good news is that the Dallas Cowboys were able to overcome Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Monday night, advancing in the NFL postseason for a critical matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. They'll be looking to extract a measure of revenge against the Niners, who knocked them out of last year's postseason.
The bad news is that they will have to do so without one key player on the roster, while the possibility remains that they may be without another as well. According to Cowboys reporter Michael Gehlkin, LT Jason Peters will not be playing against the 49ers, while Jayron Kearse has been designated a game-time decision.
He writes:
"Cowboys have ruled out LT Jason Peters (hip) for Sunday’s playoff game at 49ers. S Jayron Kearse (knee), who is questionable, is the only other player who carries a game-status designation."
The Cowboys and 49ers will kick off from Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, CA on Sunday evening beginning at 6:30 PM EST.
