Cowboys announce good and bad injury news
Week 6 is tonight in Los Angeles.
The Football Feed
The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up to face the Los Angeles Chargers tonight on Monday Night Football in front of the country, and they've released some critical injury updates ahead of the matchup.
First, we'll start with the good news. The Cowboys have announced that both returner KaVontae Turpin and running back Tony Pollard are off of the injury list after participating in full practices on Friday and Saturday, and both will be available to take part in tonight's game.
However, as expected, linebacker Leighton Vander Esch (neck/concussion) and cornerback C.J. Goodwin (pectoral) are unavailable and will not be able to play for several weeks thanks to their respective injuries they sustained last week in the loss against the rival San Fransisco 49ers.
Tonight's game against the Chargers will start at 8:15 PM EST. Dallas will be looking for a win in order to make up ground in the division that sees the rival 49ers in control with a 5-1 mark. Should Dallas win, they would improve to 4-2, a much more favorable outcome rather than falling back to .500 at 3-3 should they be unsuccessful tonight.
