Cowboys officially give permission to La'el Collins to seek trade!
The Cowboys are going to look considerable different next season.
According to multiple reports, the Dallas Cowboys have given Deryk Gilmore and Peter Schaffer, the agents for La'el Collins, permission to seek a trade for their client.
And per analyst Jordan Schultz, multiple teams are interested in his services.
Collins played collegiately at Louisiana State University, winning the Jacobs Blocking Trophy as the Southeastern Conference's (SEC) top offensive lineman. He would later sign with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2015, where he has played the first several seasons of his NFL career. Last year in 2021, he appeared in 12 games while starting 10.
He missed the entire 2020 season with a hip injury that eventually required surgery. With a trade, the Cowboys would save $13.95 million of the $15.25 million that Collins would count against the salary cap ($1.3 million).
