Cowboys owner Jerry Jones: “I'm sick about it”
Can they break the near three-decade long drought?

It goes without saying that Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones is about as hands on as a sports executive can possibly get, and it's certainly beginning to weigh on him a little bit that his team has not experienced the ultimate glory of winning the Super Bowl in 27 years.
“I’m sick about it,” Jones told USA TODAY Sports. “I really beat myself up over not getting a Super Bowl with (Tony) Romo here. And we had Bill (Parcells) here. Excellent coach and an exceptional quarterback. To not have gotten it done during those years really tears me up.”
The Cowboys are gearing up to face the ageless wonder in Tom Brady, who has won multiple titles of his own since the Cowboys were last able to accomplish the feat in 1995. Since then, they've managed a mere record of 4-11 in the postseason.
“I can tell you the story of every one of those disappointing years,” Jones said. “I can go back and pick about four of those years that we had the goods to be there, but for whatever reason, we weren’t. The motivation is here and we created the motivation in what we do in presenting the Cowboys. We write a check with our mouth that our butt has to cover. Or should cover.”
This year marks the first time since 2016 and 2017 that the Cowboys have qualified for the postseason in consecutive seasons. How realistic is their goal of finally hoisting the Lombardi Trophy once again?
