The nation is still in mourning over Tuesday's events.

The Dallas Cowboys are in the midst of OTA's, and following practice, quarterback Dak Prescott weighed in on the tragedy in Uvalde, after a subhuman monster gunned down 21 people at an elementary school, including 19 children. Uvalde is approximately 85 miles from San Antonio, TX.

According to Prescott, he's now "fearful" to have children.

“Honestly, it makes me fearful to have children,” Prescott said Wednesday after practice, via USA Today. “And that’s not right. That’s sad. …. I don’t care if you’re an athlete or not. We’re talking about children. We’re talking about the future. I mean, I don’t have kids and can’t imagine having to send my kid to school with that anxiety.”

Meanwhile, DE DeMarcus Lawrence had this to say:

“I know other parents feel the same way,” Lawrence said, while also saying that he just got off the phone with his wife to ask, "How are the kids? Are they home yet?’ It’s something you wouldn’t expect. But this is what we are dealing with.”

Head coach Mike McCarthy stated what the rest of us were thinking, that there must be a solution for this to never happen again.

“We’ve got to be better,” McCarthy said, via USA Today. “There has to be a better way. We know there’s a better way. And we need to do the things to make it better. To not protect the future of our community is tragic. It makes me sick like I’m sure it does everybody."
