Cowboys QB Dak Prescott puts his critics on blast

The Dallas Cowboys have made full scale commitment to quarterback Dak Prescott, and team owner and general manager Jerry Jones has even hinted that he would prefer to see Prescott with the Cowboys for literally the next decade.
However, Prescott is not without his share of critics, especially given his postseason performance the last two years that have seen the Cowboys knocked out by the rival San Francisco 49ers in consecutive seasons.
To start 2023, he's led the Cowboys to a 4-2 record, and they're gearing up to take on the Los Angeles Rams at AT&T Stadium in Arlington this Sunday. And let's just say that Prescott doesn't have time for the criticisms against his game - or as he puts it, the outside noise.
"I mean, I don’t deal with it," Prescott said about the negative outside noise, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. "People talk, they’re always going to talk. … I’ve honestly always felt this way, I’m the most critical of myself when it comes down to it. So outside of this building, criticism, if you don’t know the true X’s and O’s of what’s being talked about, what’s being asked of me within the position, it really doesn’t matter. That’s also something that experience creates."
Prescott then issued a taunt to his critics, saying that their negative feedback is going to be "that much sweeter" when they "win this thing".
"Because when things go our way and we win this thing, it’s going to make it all that much sweeter," he continued. "Say what you want, we get to go out there and we get to do it."
One can only assume that "this thing" means the Super Bowl, which has eluded the Cowboys since the mid 1990's. If Prescott is able to lead Dallas back to the promise land of ultimate football glory, he'll forever go down as a legend in the Lone Star State.
