Cowboys release concerning injury report
Can the Cowboys get the job done?
The Football Feed
The wait is officially over for the Dallas Cowboys, as they are back in official action this afternoon for the first time since their disappointing postseason loss earlier this year to the San Francisco 49ers.
They'll be in a New York State of mind, taking on the Giants at MetLife Stadium. But they're not going to be 100% healthy when they take the field, as there are a handful of names on the final injury report.
The final injury report is below:
Tyron Smith, OT (ankle) - Questionable
Sam Williams, DE (toe) - Questionable
Tyler Smith, OL (hamstring) - Doubtful
Donovan Wilson, S (calf) - Doubtful
Just what would it mean for the Cowboys if one or more valuable pieces of the offensive line were unavailable?
“That’s really something we’ve been dealing with since I arrived here,” McCarthy said of juggling the offensive line. “We do have some experience with it. We talked about this throughout camp, how the offensive line is the one position we worked every combination possible.
“That has been the silver lining hopefully in this transition. We obviously haven’t had the first five guys out there on the field, I think, we only had them out there for one practice.
“We’ve been working all of the different combinations. Hopefully, those reps will pay off.”
Game time is scheduled for 8:20 PM EST. Can the Cowboys start the season on a high note?
