Dak Prescott sounds off on departure of Amari Cooper, La'el Collins.
What kind of season will he enjoy in 2022?
The Dallas Cowboys will be looking to defend their NFC East title as the 2022 NFL season quickly approaches; they're currently 1-1 in preseason play with one more game to go before the start of the regular campaign.
For quarterback Dak Prescott, who enjoyed a highly productive 2021, he'll be without the likes of Amari Cooper and La'el Collins, both of whom made the decision to depart the Cowboys during the offseason. Are there any lingering hard feelings? Not at all - in fact, he's focused on moving forward, not looking back.
“You’re never going to catch me looking at anything in my life as a step back,” Prescott said. “You’ve got an opportunity to move forward. You’ve got an opportunity to grow. If you don’t do that, you’re in trouble and you’ve already lost to begin with.”
Prescott will be working with CeeDee Lamb as well as Ezekiel Elliott along with Zack Martin and Tyron Smith as they look to take the next step this year in what will hopefully yield a better postseason result.
“It is surprising because we had some good years, but I think that’s the next step for this team,” Elliott said. “We got the ability. We had the production. None of that means anything if you don’t go and handle the situations, more specifically, that last situation, that last two-minute versus San Fran.”
The Cowboys will take on the Seattle Seahawks this Friday night.
