Dak Prescott, Tom Brady have words for one another
The Bucs and Cowboys battle in Week 1 of the upcoming NFL season.
The 2022 NFL season is quickly approaching, and it will be a Titanic matchup at AT&T Stadium this Sunday when Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to make it two season-opening victories in a row over Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys.
Of course, it was Brady leading the Bucs to an exciting 31-29 win in Week 1 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay last season. During their postgame handshake, Prescott vowed to Brady that "we'll see y'all again".
And while no postseason matchup has yet occurred between the two sides, Sunday's game will be a good measuring stick as to where both teams stand immediately off the hop. And for Brady, who recently returned to the Bucs after an 11 day absence to tend to a family matter during Training Camp, he's a fan of Prescott.
"I love everything that Dak done since he's been the quarterback," Brady said. "I watched him his rookie year, he led the team to a great record. Never let any of the success get to his head. He's done an amazing job."
Meanwhile, Prescott was certainly appreciative to receive a compliment from arguably the greatest player of all time in NFL history at his respective position.
"You definitely have to embrace it … a guy whose résumé speaks for itself. Shows up at his age and is still better than most to do this … the greatest to do this honestly. In the moment to play him, understand what that team’s gonna bring with him as the leader and him on the other side.''
The Bucs and Cowboys will kickoff this Sunday at 8:20 PM with national coverage on NBC.
