Denver Broncos get devastating injury news

Not what they needed at all right now.

Michael W.

Well, it's kind of a bad news-bad news situation right now for the Denver Broncos.

The first piece of bad news was that they were unable to overcome the roaring atmosphere at Lumen Field in Seattle on Monday night, dropping their Week 1 matchup to the Seattle Seahawks in Russell Wilson's highly anticipated return to his former stomping grounds by a 17-16 final score that saw a bizarre ending.

The second piece of bad news is that the Broncos will now be without the services of All Pro safety Justin Simmons will "miss some time", according to head coach Nathaniel Hackett.

Simmons suffered a quad injury during the 2nd half of Monday's game, though he was able to play through it. Since 2018, the extremely durable Simmons has missed a total of six snaps.

The Broncos are in preparations to host the Houston Texans in Week 2 at Empower Field at Mile High this Sunday; game time is set for 4:25 PM EST.
