Well, talk about a scary situation.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Zach Pascal was robbed at gunpoint near his home in Prince George's County in Maryland around 2:25 a.m on Friday. This comes just months after Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. was shot and injured in a robbery.
The perpetrators demanded Pascal's possessions while pointing a gun at him; they got away with a diamond necklace. Pascal was treated for minor injuries at the scene and according to the Eagles, he is "doing fine".
“The organization is aware of the matter involving Zach Pascal. We have been in contact with Zach and are happy to hear he is doing fine," the Eagles said in a statement.
Having signed as a free agent with Philadelphia last March, Pascal appeared in all 20 regular season and postseason games for the Eagles, who were defeated in last month's Super Bowl by the Kanas City Chiefs.
