The Dallas Cowboys released linebacker Devin Harper after the first three games of this season, and he's already found a new home. He's been claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he will join a crowded linebacker core that already includes the likes of Logan Wilson, Markus Bailey, Germaine Pratt, Joe Bachie and Davis-Gaither.
Head coach Mike McCarthy had the following to say about having to waive Harper:
"My goal is to keep all of the players, but sometimes you got to make moves based on other positional needs," he said.
Harper was originally a 6th round pick of the Cowboys in 2022 out of Oklahoma State University, and has played a total of six games with the team.
