There is tragic news out of the world of football to be shared this afternoon.
Former NFL player Chris Smith, who was a draft pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2014, has died at the age of 31. The news was confirmed with a statement by the Cleveland Browns, one of the seven NFL teams that Smith played for during his career.
No cause of death has been listed as of yet.
After having played collegiately at Arkansas, Smith would also play in the NFL for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cincinnati Bengals, Las Vegas Raiders and Houston Texans. Last season, he suited up for the XFL's Seattle Sea Dragons.
