Former NFL linebacker Jarvis Jones, who played during his career for the Pittsburgh Steelers and is now a player coordinator for the Georgia Bulldogs, was arrested on charges of reckless driving and speeding. The incident occurred the day before Georgia's season opener.
His vehicle, a 1984 Buick Regal, was driving 86 mph in a 40-mph zone. After being arrested, he was released on a $2,400 bond.
According to head coach Kirby Smart, it's a "personnel matter".
"There will be internal discipline," said Smart when asked about the arrest on Monday. "It's a personnel matter and I can't comment further on it."
Jones played for the Steelers from 2013 to 2017 before rounding out his career with the Arizona Cardinals in 2017.
