Frightening: Chiefs player suffers cardiac arrest during meeting
Another frightening moment in the NFL.
The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs were forced to cancel today's team activities following a frightening moment that saw defensive lineman BJ Thompson going into cardiac arrest after suffering a seizure.
According to the latest reports, Thompson is in stable condition. NFL analyst Tom Pelissero has indicated that Thompson was stabilized and
“The team’s medical staff worked quickly, an ambulance was called,” Pelissero reported. “And the player is currently in stable condition.”
“BJ Thompson is in stable condition after suffering a seizure and going into cardiac arrest during a meeting this morning.”
“The reigning Super Bowl champions are currently in Phase 3 of their voluntary offseason program,” the NFL Network reported. “Mandatory minicamp is scheduled to begin on Tuesday.”
Thompson is a 2023 5th round draft selection, and has played in a single game during his brief career.
