Fans of the New York Giants held their collective breaths during last night's exhibition game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux, whom the Giants selected with the fifth overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, appeared to seriously injure himself after taking a hit from Bengals tight end Thaddeus Moss:

He was clearly in pain, though was able to limp off the field under his own power after refusing assistance from the medical cart. Afterward, he explained that he was feeling good.

"I'm all right. I'm good," Thibodeaux said leaving the stadium.

"We're good. Good news," he added later.

"I can't answer [that anything severe is ruled out] yet," coach Brian Daboll said. "They'll be doing tests [Sunday night], MRIs and stuff like that and get a better feel for it in morning. You hope not. Don't have an answer for that yet."

The Giants defeated the Bengals by a 25-22 final score.
