Is Dak Prescott jealous of success of Stars, Mavericks and Rangers?
The Cowboys quarterback addresses the success of his fellow sports brethren in Big D.
It's an exciting time to be a sports fan in Dallas right now, as both the NHL's Dallas Stars and NBA's Dallas Mavericks have advanced to the Western Conference Finals and are just four wins away from advancing to the championship round. Meanwhile, the Texas Rangers are the reigning World Series champions.
That leaves the Dallas Cowboys, who haven't won the Super Bowl since their dynasty days of the mid 1990s. Understandably, there is pressure on the organization to return themselves to the glory days that helped earn them the moniker of "America's Team".
For quarterback Dak Prescott, there isn't any "jealousy" in watching the success of the other pro sports teams of Dallas, but that it does put more pressure on the Cowboys.
“It’s not jealousy, but it fires you up. I want it for them. Go win it. Rangers did it. Other two go do it. Put more f***ing pressure on us,” he said today.
Right now, Prescott is set to enter the final year of his current contract with the Cowboys, and there isn't a new contract on the horizon.
