Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are in action today at AT&T Stadium in Arlington as they welcome Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season. The Cowboys will be looking for their second straight NFC East title, and they'll be running the gauntlet early.
All eyes will be on the Prescott vs. Brady matchup, and prior to today's game, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones had a pretty astute comparison for his $40 million quarterback - none other than Brady.
“There’s a lot of me that sees the excellence Tom Brady is about, how much he focuses on the nuances of the game, I see those characteristics in Dak,” Jones said while speaking in an interview with 105.3 The Fan. “And I see the improvement. We just want to be a part of the story of Dak Prescott as he evolves. And if he can get to that success level, then that word elite is going to start showing up."
Prescott will certainly have a lot to accomplish if he wants to be viewed in the same echelon as Brady, who has won 7 Super Bowl titles over the course of his Hall of Fame NFL career.
The Cowboys and Bucs will get underway tonight at 8:25 PM EST.
