Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will have to sit for the first two games of the 2024 NFL season, as he was suspended by the NFL today for a violation of the league's Performance Enhancing Substances Policy.
Additionally, this will serve as the catalyst for the Raiders to release him, bringing an end to his time with the organization:
If he's released by March 5, the Raiders will avoid having to pay him an $11.25 million bonus.
Garoppolo had agreed to a three-year, $72.75 million deal last year with $33.75 million of it guaranteed.
