Some truly shocking news from Arizona Cardinals defensive end JJ Watt this afternoon.
The veteran took to social media to reveal that he underwent a frightening medical emergency.
“I was just told somebody leaked some personal information about me and it’s going to be reported on today,” he wrote.
“I went into A-Fib on Wednesday, had my heart shocked back into rhythm on Thursday and I’m playing today.
That’s it.”
Atrial fibrillation (A-fib) is "an irregular and often very rapid heart rhythm (arrhythmia) that can lead to blood clots in the heart."
Watt made his 2022 debut for the Cardinals last Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
